Seating the brace

For a project this small the brace isn't going to be doing all that much, this is mostly for practice. And because it looks cool.

Cowslip

Is this the thing cows slip on, or is it like their mouthparts?

Housed mortise and tenon

Remember this? Several months back? Well here it is. Finally.

The other side is not so perfect, off by about 3/32". Which means the good side needs to be trimmed a smidge.

Deck prism

Yay deck prism! Avast, ye swabs!

Hinges

Hinges are fickle finicky and if you're going to be off its better to be off by a bunch. Otherwise you can't set the screws in the new spot for the will wander into the old holes.
So drill it out and glew in some dowel. Then cut them flush and you can start again. Though I have been known to just move the hinge...

Gardening
